The Smoker Patient

Dr. Robin (Fictional Name) was once examining the anal region of a patient. To relax the patient and divert his attention, Dr. Robin asked him, “Baba, do you smoke?” 

The surprised patient asked, “Why are you asking that? Is the smoke coming out from below?”

Tip: Patients may wrongly interpret the most innocuous of your remarks. This can happen in any place where you are dealing with people. Sometime the wrong interpretation may lead to humor, sometimes not. Be especially careful when dealing with persons of different sex, ethnic or age group than yourself.
